This handy little tool is a must for FCPX editors. It quickly cleans up renders and proxy files that are no longer needed. Great for preparing your projects for archive.

manually deleting render files through FCPXs file menu is a great feature - but a real pain when you have a bunch of projects/event. This app is both simple and essential! Great job.

In our first few tests we have been able to reduce project and event sizes by 90%. This is a great application for archiving projects. If you work with FCPX professionally you should get this. My editor is happy!

This utility app is very practical, very helpful, works well, and carries a really great price. I’ll be showing off in my FCP X classes! Great job, Helge!

This little app is simple yet essential when it comes to makeing your archiving step in your workflow as efficient as possible. Plus Heljge is a hard worker and on top of his game! Keep up the great work. Highly recommended!

An excellent app, that works with both legacy FCPX and FCPX 10.1. (You do need to drag the entire disk on which legacy files are located to the app in order to have them "wiped"). Further, the folders must be named "Final Cut Events/Projects" -- not with the "- Hidden" title, or the app doesnt work at all. The developer is very responsive to comments/bug reports.

I didn’t realize how much of a Final Cut Pro library was render files. I had some that were over 200 GB, and X-wiper allowed me to cut them in half. It’s easy to use, and you can choose which files to delete (don’t worry, FCPX will recreate the files when needed).

Since Final Cut Pro X version 10.1.2 released in June 2014, this app is no more needed. There is now a builtin function in “File" > "Delete Generated Event Files…"

Still useful

Even though FCPX has the Delete Generated Event Files built-in now, this app is still useful. The FCPX function only works on the open Library while this app works on individual libraries or folders of libraries. Much more efficient. Has never let me down.
